Andrea Searby serves as the senior paralegal to Marjorie Heinrich and Ethan Wimert at Heinrich Law. During the past ten years, she has gained extensive legal support experience in all areas of civil litigation.
Beginning as a law firm intern after winning a high school state championship in mock trial, Ms. Searby then worked as a law clerk while in college, which was then followed by carrying out legal assistant and paralegal work over the past several years. Andrea graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 2007 with a degree in Rhetoric. Having worked almost exclusively at personal injury law firms, Andrea has always felt most at home supporting attorneys who represent people who have been injured, often severely, because of the fault of others. She most recently worked as senior paralegal at a large Bay Area plaintiff’s personal injury law firm from 2009 to 2015. During that time, she provided sole paralegal and administrative support to a core team of attorneys, led by Ms. Heinrich, throughout all phases of the litigation process.
In 2014, Andrea served as the moderator and chief speaker on the Consumer Attorneys of California’s paralegal panel at its annual convention, which is attended by thousands, speaking on the non-attorney’s role in attorney-client communication.
Andrea is thrilled to have joined her long-time mentors at Heinrich Law in 2015, helping to bring experienced, personalized representation to people who’ve been injured, often catastrophically, by the fault of others.
Outside of the office, Andrea is a lifelong athlete and fitness enthusiast. Also an avid commuter cyclist, she is passionate about roadway safety and awareness.
